MOCA Health has built a clinical model that prioritises safety, compliance, and patient-centred care. All contracted practitioners undergo a rigorous induction program covering cannabis pharmacology, therapeutic uses, international best practices, titration strategies, and TGA Special Access Scheme (SAS) requirements. This ensures patients receive care from professionals who are both knowledgeable and ethically trained in safe prescribing practices.
Central to the patient experience is MOCA’s integration with Halaxy, a secure telehealth platform that manages bookings, intake forms, payments, and patient data in compliance with Australian privacy laws. This system allows patients to book consultations 24/7, while ensuring doctors have access to medical history ahead of time, making each consultation focused and efficient.
The process is straightforward: patients book online, complete an intake form, and connect for a 15-minute phone consultation. If appropriate, a prescription is initiated and submitted to the TGA for approval, usually within 24–48 hours. Follow-up consultations are required for renewals or adjustments, with scripts valid for 6 months (THC) or 12 months (CBD).
Once approved, patients transition to the dispensing side through MOCA’s secure portal. Here, they can review prescriptions, purchase medications, download dosing guides, and access attestation letters. Repeats are managed directly through the portal, with new consultations only required if scripts expire or treatment plans change.
